It is our responsibility to make sure that our products are functional and durably reliable companions for active people. That is why we invest a great deal of time and effort in the development, production, testing and repairs service of our backpacks and bags. The fact these products present no health hazards and are safety-tested and approved is a matter of course for us.
It's in our company values - Deuter is synonymous with quality, functionality and longevity – and has been since 1898. Today, we are pioneers in the world of functional backpacks and European market leaders. We know that success like that does not come from good advertising and marketing alone. Our products have to win people over, and stand the test of time. 

Throughout the design, selection of materials, and production process we seek out maximum longevity – sometimes choosing not to follow all the trends for ever lighter and therefore more delicate materials in favor of building products that are rugged enough to handle the activities and landscapes they are built for. Despite this, things can and do still break. For this we offer a repair service in addition to product replacement for some warranty issues or pack damages. As long as it is technically possible, and will not compromise performance, our preference is to repair your damaged pack rather than replace it. We are happy to be able to offer this as a service to our customers but also view it as a contribution to conservation. We believe that ensuring a full value lifetime is had out of every product we make is one of the most valuable ways of conserving resources for our customers, for us as a company, and for our environment.

WARRANTY AND REPAIR SERVICE

Deuter USA, Inc. warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. This warranty does not cover the damage caused by extreme use, improper care, or the natural breakdown of material over time. If a product is deemed defective, Deuter will repair or replace it. 

If damages are not covered under warranty, Deuter offers repair services. Charges for repairs will be calculated at the time of evaluation. 

Deuter USA, Inc. does not warrant or offer repair service on any products sold or purchased through online auction sites.

Warranty Claims

WHERE CAN I GET REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR MY BACKPACK OR HYDRATION SYSTEM?

If available, Deuter can send out replacement parts for Deuter packs at no charge. Please visit this link for spare part requests.We do not offer the single parts of the mouthpiece as replacements. However, you can buy – or order – the complete mouthpiece at your local Deuter dealer.

CAN I BUY REPAIR SETS FOR BACKPACKS OR MATERIAL RIPS?

There are no repair sets available for Deuter backpacks.To repair a Deuter backpack you need industrial, heavy-duty sewing machines – so please do not try to repair your backpack at home. Please contact our warranty department for potential options and estimates.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO REPAIR A RIP OR HOLE IN MY BACKPACK?

Unfortunately, we can only specify costs and expenses once we have received and inspected the backpack. 
If the product is not repairable, extra charges may arise (handling fees + shipping costs), but the item will be sent back to you. Thank you for your understanding.
